Allumette Restaurant Los Angeles

About Allumette

Allumette is a Restaurant and Bar located in Echo Park.  It is the Collaboration between chef Miles Thompson and owners Charles Kelly and Bill DiDonna who met when the owners learned of Thompson’s desire to expand his esteemed “apartment dining” concept to a larger format. The Summer of 2012 saw Miles deploying his vision two days a week with his own “pop-up” at the owners’ former restaurant, Allston Yacht Club. Today, you will walk into Allumette, a relaxed, intimate space to experience Miles’ innovative, but somehow familiar, menu.

Serena Herrick has created an original cocktail menu and Spirits List which draws heavily on artisanal products.

Allumette has a strong commitment to local, organic and sustainable farming and works with whole animal butchers and the very best fish merchants to source the finest raw ingredients available.  Chef Miles Thompson’s approach to cooking is aesthetic and progressive, but he stops at nothing in the pursuit of the delicious; true avant-garde comfort food.

Serena Herrick’s cocktails, likewise, take an inventive, seasonal approach, melding her skills with a sense of playfulness and the full bounty of our local purveyors.

A concise Wine List takes advantage of some out-of-the-way titles to offer unique pairings.

Our Staff are informed and accommodating.

Dinner or just Drinks are available at our spacious bar.

We offer a 4 and 5 course Tasting Menu which express the state of the art at Allumette.  Drink Pairings are encouraged.

All Menu Items are available at the bar à la carte.
